BRANDON BOLIN | Founder, CEO
Founder and Chief Executive Officer of GroundFloor. Prior to forming GroundFloor in 2009, Mr. Bolin practiced law at Jackson Walker L.L.P. as a Land Use Associate. While there, Mr. Bolin worked with some of the top development companies in Dallas-Fort Worth on land development, zoning and public incentive matters. During law school, Mr. Bolin worked with the in-house counsel of Hillwood Capital on the $2 billion Victory Park Project, and with Harvest Partners on the $750 million Park Lane Project. After law school, he took a position in acquisitions with INCAP Fund assisting with the River District land assembly in the North Oak Cliff area of Dallas. Mr. Bolin is a graduate of the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University where he was inducted as a Barrister and received the John F. Kennedy award given annually to two of the top graduating law students. Mr. Bolin is a graduate of The City College of New York, graduating Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science.

MATT HOLLEY | COO
Chief Operating Officer of GroundFloor. Mr. Holley has been a serial entrepreneur in the real estate and technology sectors for over 30 years. His early career was spent working for technology companies that developed network infrastructure hardware and software. Roles included sales and operations management including corporate-level and international positions. Following two successful exits of Silicon Valley-based, VC-backed start-ups, Mr. Holley, formed a real estate development company in order to pursue a passion for architecture and urban planning. His initial project, Kessler Woods, has been called the “gold standard of residential real estate in North Oak Cliff” by the local press, and received numerous awards, including AIA recognition, and was featured in dozens of articles in domestic and international publications, including the New York Times. In a consulting capacity, he was hired by the Government of Abu Dhabi to launch, hire and lead the team to develop a master plan for a luxury community in the UAE of approximately 3,000 acres to house 40,000 Emirati nationals. Mr. Holley grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado and received his B.S. in Engineering Technology from Texas A&M University-College Station, and an MBA from the Florida Institute of Technology with a specialization in program management.

MARK DRUMM | CFO
Chief Financial Officer of GroundFloor. Mr. Drumm has spent 30 years providing key national, regional and local market, economic, financial and strategic direction for a variety of builders, developers, institutional investors and managers. A native of Georgia, Mr. Drumm graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Real Estate. Upon graduation, he joined RCLCO as a management consultant gaining national experience in a wide range of projects including mixed-use and master-planned community feasibility, specific product investment analysis, corporate strategic planning, and portfolio work-out initiatives for public and private real estate organizations. He left to work directly with developers, builders, financial institutions and institutional fund managers providing in-house strategic analysis for their land acquisition, development, product development, strategic-planning, lending and investment decisions. He has held key executive strategy, risk, research, marketing, acquisition, capital and development roles working on over $4 billion in real estate. He is a founding partner in Adamo Homes based in Denver and Regent Park, a global advisory. He is a full member of the Urban Land Institute where he is past Chair of a Community Development product council.

TAREK MORSHED | CSO/IR

Chief of Sales and Investor Relations for GroundFloor. Mr. Morshed brings 25 years of experience in the real estate sector to GroundFloor. His focus since 2008 has been on urban infill acquisitions with a focus on repurposing buildings as well as ground-up development. Prior to joining GroundFloor in the Austin office, Mr. Morshed was co-founder and CEO of Vertu Development which focused on ground-up residential and mixed-use speculative projects in Austin’s urban core sectors. He is also the senior partner in the Morshed Group, a longstanding luxury broker practice at Sotheby’s International consistently ranking in the top 1%. Mr. Morshed is a graduate of University of Texas - Austin with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, a program consistently ranked in the top 3, nationally.

LORI PASTEL | CONTROLLER

Controller of GroundFloor. Ms. Pastel has extensive alternative asset accounting, wealth management, and investment banking experience. She has held the position of Controller for real estate development and private equity firms, Associate in the Finance Control Group at Morgan Stanley, Senior Fund Accountant at BNY Mellon, and Fund Accountant and Investor Relations Manager for hedge funds in New York City. Ms. Pastel received a Master of Business Administration degree from Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business in New York City and is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas.

ALAN MCDONALD | CO-FOUNDER, STRATEGIC ADVISOR

Alan McDonald is a co-founder of GroundFloor and today serves in an advisory role for the firm. His career spans decades successfully developing real estate across the DFW Metroplex. Notably he started the successful City Homes company considered a pioneer in the gentrification of Knox Park and Uptown, which was later sold to Centex Homes. Subsequently, Mr. McDonald founded Incap Fund and acquired significant land assets across North Oak Cliff, East Dallas and Fort Worth with backing from prominent private equity firms. Mr. McDonald was instrumental in launching GroundFloor’s initial multifamily strategy and remained active through exit of the initial portfolio.
